I love recipes with a subtle kick to them, and this simple yogurt sauce recipe is just that. What is great about this recipe is that you are in control of how much heat this sauce packs. Like your food fiery, use a hot peri-peri sauce. Mild? Use less or a milder version. I used Nando’s peri-peri sauce because they have a good variety of flavors and temperatures, and I have one just around the corner from me.
Serving Suggestions
I like to serve this Peri-Peri Greek Yogurt Sauce most often with chicken fingers or some crispy calamari. But it goes great on a simple burger recipe, sandwich or wrap just as well.
This yogurt dip is also great for raw veggies or even potato chips!

A Quick Peek At The Ingredients

The lemon juice brightens up this sauce by balancing the heat, cutting through the oil in the sauce and adding a little zing! Cider vinegar would be a good substitution if you are short on lemons.
Some people might like to use mayo as well for this recipe but I am not a huge mayo fan and prefer this lighter version.

Any peri-peri sauce can be used. Some I find are thicker than others, and the Nando’s sauce I find thinner and a little oilier. The oilier versions are a little tougher to blend at first. I like to start by almost “folding in” the peri-peri sauce to kick start the blending process and try to pull the oil from the outside of the bowl, where it tends to accumulate.
Then once I get the peri-peri sauce to start to blend, I give it a good stir, and the peri-peri sauce blends nicely, creating a nice, smooth, creamy sauce.
Step-By-Step Made simple

This recipe makes about half a cup. But if you need more, this recipe doubles and triples easily.
Storage
Store any leftover sauce in a tightly sealed container in the fridge for up to 5 days. If left, the peri-peri sauce may begin to separate from the yogurt, but you can fix this with a quick stir to combine again.
