8 Reasons To Eat Healthy

There is so much information about healthy eating and I challenge you to open up any magazine or watch any day time women’s talk show that does have at least one segment on clean eating.  The reason most people start eating well is to lose weight and get “healthier”.  But what does “healthier” mean?

Here are 5 other reasons beside weight loss to eat healthy:

? IMPROVE YOUR MEMORY

According to a recent study in the journal Frontiers in Nutrition people eating more Mediterranean Diets filled with leafy greens and healthy fats like olives and nuts had longer attention spans and also maintained cognitive abilities as they aged.

?FEWER CRAVINGS

Eating dark leafy greens like spinach gives your body a large dose of vitamins A, C and K which  may not give you huge muscles like Popeye but a study that gave people spinach extract showed reduced hunger and cravings

?IMPROVED SEXUAL HEALTH

On average, Americans eat 16 grams of fiber per day, which would be a great achievement if it didn’t fall short of the recommended 21–38 grams per day.  some data suggests that guys who regularly snack on nature’s candy are 14 percent less likely to develop erectile dysfunction (E.D.).

Pears turns out have 25% more fibre than an apple or banana or a serving of Shakeology both provide 25% of your daily recommended fibre intake and this type of fruit comes in Chocolate flavour– win win!  Plus it comes with a ton of vitamins and minerals.

?A HAPPIER HEART

The World Health Organization advocates limiting sugar to a max of 10 percent of your daily calories. Failing to scale back sugar intake has even been linked to an increased risk for heart disease-related deaths. Not so sweet, right?

?BETTER ENDURANCE & RECOVERY

Watermelons are known to provide L-citrulline, an amino acid cyclists took (via a supplement) for seven days at 2.4 g/day and once again before an exercise test in a study published earlier this year in the Journal of the International Society of Sports Nutrition. The L-citrulline supplementation reduced the time it took for cyclists to complete a cycle ergometer exercise trial. According to another small 2013 study, watermelons could help reduce muscle soreness.Placeholder Image

I don’t know if it’s just me or if perhaps everyone else
experiencing issues with your website. It looks like some of the written text on your posts are running off the screen. Can someone else please provide feedback and let me
know if this is happening to them as well?
This could be a problem with my browser because I’ve had this happen before.

    Cheers
